利久好みの庭と智積院　Chishakuin Temple

智積院は、三十三間堂からは徒歩5分の場所にある

国宝障壁画と名勝庭園で有名な真言宗智山派の総本山です。

先ずは大切に保管されている国宝障壁画を見た後は、利久好みの庭と呼ばれる

美しい庭への開放感を感じながら煌びやかな講堂襖絵を楽しみました。

庭の滝が落ちる音を聞きながら縁先に座り深呼吸をすると、

慌ただしい気持ちも忘れ穏やかな気持ちになるものです。

Chishaku-in is the head temple of the Chizan sect of Shingon Buddhism,

famous for its national treasure paintings and scenic gardens.

We first saw the carefully preserved National Treasure paintings,

and then enjoyed the glittering sliding door paintings in the auditorium

while feeling the openness of the beautiful garden.

Sitting at the edge of the garden listening to the sound of the waterfall falling and

taking a deep breath, you will forget your hectic mind and feel peaceful.
