東山区の三十三間堂、国宝の本堂には千手観音像が左右10列の各段に50体ずつ整然と並んでいます。
その様子は壮観でじわじわと観音様の愛情が染み込んでくるような感覚を覚えました。
一体一体違うお顔の観音像には、必ず会いたい人に似た像があるとも伝えられています。
この日は日差しの強い汗ばむ気候でしたが、手入れの行き届いた庭には赤とんぼが飛んでいて、
一足先に秋を感じたのでした。
In the main hall, a national treasure, there are 50 statues of the thousand-armed Kannon
(Goddess of Mercy) lined up neatly in 10 rows on each side. The sight is spectacular.
I felt the love of Kannon slowly seeping into my heart.
It is also said that there is a statue that resembles the person you want to meet.
It was a sunny and sweaty day, but there were red dragonflies flying around in the well-kept garden.
It felt like autumn ahead of time.
