京都には女性に優しい神社がいくつもあります。
美人祈願で有名なのは下鴨神社内に在る河合神社。
初代天皇・神武天皇の母であり、女性守護・美麗の神と呼ばれる玉依姫命が祀られています。
”化粧室”で鏡絵馬に自分のメイク道具で化粧を施し奉納するのが人気です。
参拝後は、美味しい美人水（かりん水）を飲んでゆっくり過ごしたくなるような穏やかで優しい雰囲気の境内です。
ほとりから河合神社までは電車やバスを利用して40分程の道のりですが、
ほとりからの徒歩圏内でも美人祈願ができる神社があるのでご紹介します。
清水五条にある若宮八幡宮社。陶器市が開催される場所の真ん中にあるこの神社は
陶器の神様でも有名ですが、実は美人祈願でも有名なのです。【身も心も美しく】の石碑が目を引きます。
また八坂神社内の美御前社も美人祈願ができますよ。
鳥居の横にある、美容水を顔に付けてから祈願します。
美容室、美容専門学校など美容に関する関係者が玉串を奉納されています。
こちらにも【身も心も美しく】の石碑があります。
「いつも笑みをたやすことのないようにしていれば、おのずと心も身体も輝きに満ち溢れ、
その輝きこそ美そのものです。」と若宮八幡宮社のHPで紹介されています。
美しい笑顔を目指して、ちょくちょく参拝しようと思うのでした。

Wakamiya Hachimangu Shrine is located in Kiyomizu Gojo. Located in the middle of a pottery market, this shrine is famous for being the god of pottery, but it is also famous for praying for beauty. The stone monument reading “Be beautiful in body and soul” is eye-catching.
You can also pray for beauty at the Bigozensha Shrine in Yasaka Shrine. At the side of the torii, you can apply beauty water to their face before praying. Beauty salons, beauty schools, and other beauty-related people dedicate their tamagushi to the shrine. Here, too, there is a stone monument that reads, “Be beautiful in body and soul”.
“If you always keep smiling, your soul and body will be full of radiance, and that radiance is beauty itself. ” says the website of Wakamiya Hachimangu Shrine. I decided to visit the shrine often in order to achieve a beautiful smile.
