現在、京セラ美術館では『アンディ・ウォーホル・キョウト』が開催されています。
町のあちこちでポスターを見かけたり、本屋さんでは特集コーナーが設置されていたりと
京都がウォーホル色に染まっています。
この美術展で気付いたのですが、最近の美術館は鑑賞の仕方が進化していました！
写真撮影可、無料の音声ガイドが自分の携帯で聞きながら鑑賞できるのです。
イヤホンを持参しなかったことを残念に思いつつ、気に入った作品を撮影しながら
ゆったりと楽しむことが出来ました。
興味深かったのは、ウォーホルが1956年に来日した際の京都での旅程です。
京都では、記録が残る訪問場所として様々な観光スポットが挙げられていました。
都ホテル（現 ウェスティン都）・平安神宮・清水寺・北野天満宮・三十三間堂・桂離宮・龍安寺・京都御所・山中商会京都支店（古美術商）・流響院
まさに、京都が誇る観光スポットをくまなく訪問された様ですね。
そしてその時に描かれた京都や舞妓さんの作品もありました。
もし今彼が2022年の京都を訪問したら、1956年からも全く変わらない部分と
最先端が混在している京都を見てどんな作品になっただろうか、と思いを巡らしてみました。
でもやっぱり京都＝お寺や舞妓さんで、ほぼ変わらない作品を作られるかなという
私の中での結論になりました。

I noticed that the way we enjoy art at museums these days has evolved!
Photography is allowed, and visitors can listen to a free audio guide on their own cell phones.
I regretted that I did not bring earphones, but I was able to take pictures of my favorite works
and enjoy the exhibition.
I was very interested in Warhol’s itinerary in Kyoto during his visit to Japan in 1956.
Miyako Hotel ( Westin Miyako), Heian Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, Sanjusangendo, Katsura Rikyu, Ryoanji Temple, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Yamanaka Shokai Kyoto Branch (antique dealer), Ryukyoin
It seems that you visited all the tourist spots that Kyoto is proud of.
And there were paintings of Kyoto and maiko painted at that time.
I wondered what his work would be like if he were to visit Kyoto in 2022 and see Kyoto in 1956,
with its mix of unchanged parts and cutting-edge elements.
But I came to the conclusion that Kyoto = temples and Maiko,
and I wondered if he would create a work that would remain almost the same.
