京都市内の“ひだり上”はなかなか凄いのです！
行政区として捉えると、北区、上京区、右京区と分かれていますが、
距離的には徒歩でも移動できるエリアに世界遺産の寺院が集まっています。
金閣寺、龍安寺、仁和寺…しかし、世界遺産以外にも、見どころが沢山あります。
次から次へと「行ってみたい！」「見てみたい！」「食べてみたい！」という場所が多くて、
京都の“ひだりうえ”はとても魅力的なのです。
ほとりからはバスで40分程のエリアです。何度かに分けてご紹介いたしますね。
以前より奇抜なデザインで気になっていた美術館があり、先日訪れてみました。
京都市生まれの日本画家 堂本印象の堂本印象美術館です。
美術館は全てが和洋折衷で斬新な雰囲気。美術館の公式HPによると、
『外観から内装まですべてが印象自らのデザインによる。
（美術館を建てるにあたり、印象は昭和27年（1952）にヨーロッパで見学した
宮殿や邸宅を用いた美術館を参考に独自の美の可能性を追求したという。）』なのだそうです。
納得です。手すりや、ちょっとした鉄格子の曲線なども素敵なテイストでした。
作品は、有名寺院の壁画の模写、抽象画、浮世絵風、宗教画と、
一人の画家によって描かれたのが信じられない振り幅の大きさでした。
現在は『音のハーモニー』という音を感じる切り口の作品を集めた展覧会が3月26日まで開催されています。
堂本美術館の後のティータイムには、フルーツの美味しいクリケットさんに寄ってみました。
平野神社の鳥居が見える席に座り、いただいたフルーツサンドは、
薄くスライスしたリンゴも入って少しシャリシャリした食感が今までにない美味しさでした。
さすがフルーツ屋さん！幸せ気分のティータイムでした。

The “left upper part” of Kyoto City is amazing. There are many World Heritage temples in the area that can be reached on foot. Kinkakuji Temple, Ryoanji Temple, Ninnaji Temple
However, there are many more attractions than just World Heritage sites. It takes about 40 minutes by bus from hotori to this area.
I visited an art museum that I had long been curious about because of its eccentric design. It is Kyoto Prefectural Insho-Domoto museum of fine arts.
The museum has an innovative atmosphere with a blend of Japanese and Western styles. According to the museum’s official website, “Everything from the exterior to the interior was designed by Insho himself. He referred to the museums where were once palaces and mansions when he visited Europe in 1952. That makes sense. The railing and the little curved lines of the iron grating were also in great taste.
The works included a copy of a famous temple mural, an abstract painting, an Ukiyoe-style painting, and a religious painting. The exhibition, “Harmony of Sound,” is a collection of paintings that make you feel sounds until March 26, 2023.
I stopped by a fruit parlor CRICKET for teatime after visiting the museum. I sat down at a table overlooking the torii gate of the Hirano Shrine and enjoyed a fruit sandwich with thinly sliced apples and a slightly crunchy texture that was unprecedentedly delicious. It was a happy teatime.
Why not enjoy the luxury time at the museum and delicious fruit parlor?
