2月の「立春」の前日に行われる節分
今年も京都のあちこちの神社で節分祭が執り行われています
季節の変わり目にこれまでの災厄や邪気を祓うとされる大豆を撒き、
これからの無事と繁栄への祈りを捧げて福を呼び込む行事です。
今年は八坂神社へ。

八坂さんの節分祭は四花街の芸舞妓さんによる舞踊奉納と豆撒きも行われます
.
たくさんの人の中、本殿からはちょっと離れた場所で開始を待っていると
幸運にも華やかな舞妓さんや仕込みさんが目の前に。

かいらしい舞妓さんたちの様子をみているだけで心が華やぎ、
分けていただいた福が何倍にもなった気がしました

明日の節分当日も八坂神社では以下のようなスケジュールで
豆まきが行わますのでぜひお出掛けしてみてくださいね＾＾

In Japan, there is an event called “Setsubun” at the beginning of February.
“Setsubun” refers to the division of the seasons between winter and spring nowadays.
It is an event to purge past disasters and evil spirits at the turn of the season, and to invite good fortune by offering prayers for safety and prosperity in the future.
At Yasaka-shrine, Setsubun Festival includes a dance dedication and bean-throwing ceremony by geisha and maiko from the four Hanamachi districts.
Tomorrow, on the day of Setsubun, a bean-throwing ceremony will be held at Yasaka Shrine every two hours from 11:00 a.m., so please be sure to come out and see it!
