先週の木曜日はまだ桜の蕾が我慢状態でしたが、
この日曜日あたりからあちこちの桜が一気に咲き始めました。
お寺、公園、川沿い、どこも綺麗で思わず立ち止まり、
スマホで写真を撮らずにはいられないこの数日です。
デパ地下も、桜餅、桜クッキー、桜おこわ、桜茶など
美味しそうな食べ物であふれかえっていますよ。
今日は20℃近くになる予想で、一気に満開になりそうです。
ただ町を歩くだけでウキウキする春の京都です。
Last Thursday, the buds of the cherry trees were
still in a patient state, but from this past Sunday,
the cherry trees here and there began to bloom at once.
Temples, parks, and riverside areas in downtown area are all so beautiful
that I can’t help but stop and take pictures with my phone.
Even the department stores are overflowing with delicious cherry blossom foods
such as sakura mochi (rice cakes), sakura cookies, sakura okowa (rice topped with sakura),
sakura tea and so on.
The temperature is expected to reach nearly 20 degrees Celsius today,
which means that the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom at once.
Just walking around Kyoto in spring is an exciting experience!!
