“hotori” is a villa that provides you with a whole house rental as well as 24-hours concierge services.
At “hotori,” we do not just provide accommodations. In the office just a few minutes away, our concierges will be ready to serve you throughout your stay.
Please ask anything you need—tour planning, transportation, ticket arrangement, breakfast, in-room massage, or surprise event for someone—and we will make our best efforts to make it happen, so your stay in Kyoto will become as comfortable and joyous as possible.
Concierges, who are themselves native to and deeply fond of the Kyoto city, are sincerely looking forward to welcome you.
In addition, we are also ready to introduce activities offered by third-party suppliers such as traditional culture experiences, local tours with bilingual guides, and athletic activities for those who want to stay fit even while travelling.
*By the word “villa,” we intend to mean, “a facility like secondary home.” It is equipped with a kitchen and a washing machine, and therefore, suitable for long-stay guests and families as well.
“hotori” is situated in Miyagawacho—one of five kagai (geisha district) in Kyoto. Located near the center of Kyoto, the neighborhood is yet quiet and traditional where genuine Japanese teahouses (ochaya) stand side by side.
Within walking distance are famous sightseeing/shopping spots of downtown such as Kiyomizu temple, Yasaka shrine, Gion, Ponto-cho, and popular Nishiki market.
You can also reach other major destinations—such as Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, Kinkakuji, Ginkakuji, Kyoto Gosho (Kyoto Imperial Palace)—by public transportation with just one or no transfer at all.
The stations of Hankyu Line and Keihan Line are nearby, so you might also find our location quite convenient base for daytrips to Nara, Kobe, and Osaka.
Right in front of the villa flows the Kamo River. Get refreshed by walking or running along its seasonal nature—different kinds of cherry blossoms in Spring, or vivid red of maple leaves in Autumn.
